Installation of meters for inflow and outflow at the El Garrobo water purification plant (Seville)

Adasa carried out work for the installation of flow meters to measure inflows and outflows at the water purification plant of El Garrobo, integrated with the main control centre.

The works included the following activities:
• Rerouting of pipes for the installation of the flow meters (2015 free straight sections before/after)
• Construction of a chamber to house the flow meters
• Installation of a DN 100 flow meter at the plant inlet
• Enlargement of the existing chamber at the plant inlet
• Installation of a butterfly valve in the inlet with an electrical actuator
• Installation of bypasses in the inlet pipe with offtakes for analytical sampling and reagent dosing
• Electrical conduits up to the plant building
• Installation of DN 80 flow meter at the high tank outlet
• Dismantling of meters and accessories, cleaning and transportation to the La Algaba meter laboratory
• Installation of instrumentation in the high tank equipment booth and in the plant building
• Supply and connection of a signal junction box at the high tank
• Supply and connection of pre-cabling modules for signal extensions in the plant switchboards
• Extension of PLC cards for 32 digital inputs, 8 analogue inputs and 32 digital outputs
• Supply and installation of a battery rectifier for uninterruptible power supply at 24 VDC
• Extension of the PLC programme for signal mapping, integration of new signals and input valve control
• UMTS communications link with the main control centre and Carambolo control centre
• Integration of SCADA systems in the main control centre and Carambolo control centre
