Alteration and improvement of the La Motilla pumping station (municipality of Dos Hermanas – Seville province)

In this project Adasa has carried out the work involved in commissioning the facilities corresponding to the La Motilla reservoir.

The work done includes civil engineering, installation of electromechanical equipment, replacement of electrical switchboards and installation of instrumentation and control systems, as detailed in the following points:
• Location, protection and/or deviation of utilities affected by the works
• Provision of a DN 600 ductile iron connection pipe between the La Motilla reservoir outlet and the pumping station suction point
• Installation of a DN 150 drain in a DN 600 ductile iron pipe
• Installation of mechanized butterfly valves (2), DN 600 PN16, and connection of a new pipe with pumping suction
• Installation of mechanized butterfly valves (2), DN 600 PN16, in the La Motilla reservoir valve room inlet and outlet pipes
• Mechanization of the isolation valve in the suction pipe at the La Motilla reservoir
• Execution of a linking bypass between the inlet and outlet pipes of the La Motilla reservoir
• Installation of 3-function DN 100 vents in DN 600 ductile iron piping
• Connection between the valve room outlet pipe of the La Motilla reservoir and the existing DN 600 ductile iron piping
• Boring of a hole to run piping through a wall and installation of an anchor block at the La Motilla reservoir
• Replacement of power supply and control switchboards at the pumping station at the La Motilla reservoir
• Replacement of frequency variators for power supply to the pump units
• Installation of new instrumentation at the La Motilla reservoir
• Installation of two new DN 600 and DN 800 electromechanical flow meters in the reservoir inlet and outlet pipes, and the civil engineering for the chambers housing them
• Execution of conduits and laying of fibre optic conductors between the pumping station and the reservoir
• PLC programming, touchscreen and SCADA
• Generation of all final project documentation (settlement drawings, topography, operator manual, equipment instructions, installation diagrams, etc.)
